<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image heating device capable of restoring a surface nature of a heating rotator and guaranteeing a gap between recording material separation means and the heating rotator. <P>SOLUTION: An image heating device includes: a rubbing member for restoring a surface nature of a heating rotator by rubbing the heating rotator within a predetermined effective area of the heating rotator in a rotation axis direction; and spacer means which are provided in predetermined positions with respect to recording member separation means, and which contact with the heating rotator at a plurality of positions in the rotation axis direction within the effective area of the rubbing member to determine a gap between the recording material separation means and the heating rotator. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
