<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a procurement information system. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic mail interface 102 receives an information request over a communication link 108, and transfers retrieved information relating to the information request over the communication link. A processor 104 processes the information request to determine the retrieved information, and retrieves the retrieved information from a database 106.
