<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a functional food which includes cyclic polylactate having activating effect on mitochondria contained in cells at high purity and is easy to orally ingest, in view of problems wherein, while recently cyclic polylactate-containing functional foods are introduced with the expectation that aims and purposes of immune activation, functional recovery of each organ, autonomic adjustment, incretion adjustment, and the like can be satisfied by a single product, the cyclic polylactate has strong acid and bitter tastes giving strains in oral intake and making it desirable to mold the cyclic polylactate into a tablet shape, but tableting it is hard without addition of additives since the cyclic polylactate has high moisture absorbency, and the polylactate content tends to become low. <P>SOLUTION: According to polymerization distribution analyses of the cyclic polylactate, 5% or more of cyclic chain-like polylactate out of the cyclic polylactate is contained while excepting the distribution quantity of a low-polymerization degree range with polymerization degrees of 2 to 3, whereby tableting can be attained at a minimum additive ratio, and a functional food which includes the cyclic polylactate having activating effect on mitochondria at high purity while reducing strains such as bitter and acid tastes in oral intake can be provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
