<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut off leakage of light in adjacent areas and achieve a uniform irradiation intensity distribution within the area for a lighting device with a light guide plate. <P>SOLUTION: In the lighting device 10, with which light emitted from a light source 1 built in at an end of the light guide plate 2 is made diffused within the light guide plate 2 and emitted from a main face 21 of the light guide plate 2, a part 220 in the vicinity of the light source 1 out of a peripheral part 22 of the light guide plate surrounds the light source 1 and is nearly of a paraboloid shape tapered toward an emission direction L0 from the light source 1, the light source 1 being arranged in the vicinity of the focal point of the parabola. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
