<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid state image pickup device capable of easily mixing signal charges in adjacent pixel columns. <P>SOLUTION: A solid state image pickup device 1 comprises: a plurality of photoelectric conversion parts 3; a first vertical transfer part 5a provided corresponding to a first column of the photoelectric conversion parts 3; a second vertical transfer part 5b provided corresponding to a second column of the photoelectric conversion parts 3, the second column being positioned in adjacent to the first column; a horizontal transfer part 7 for transferring signal charges transferred by the first vertical transfer part 5a and the second vertical transfer part 5b in a row direction; readout electrodes 4a, each of which is provided corresponding to each of the photoelectric conversion parts 3 in the first column and positioned between the first column and the first vertical transfer part 5a, for reading out signal charges from each of the photoelectric conversion parts 3 in the first column to the first vertical transfer part 5a; and readout electrodes 4b, each of which is provided corresponding to each of the photoelectric conversion parts 3 in the first column and positioned between the first column and the second vertical transfer part 5b, for reading out signal charges from each of the photoelectric conversion parts 3 in the first column to the second vertical transfer part 5b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
