The present invention describes a method for the waterproof seal of an electric or communication manhole characterised in that it comprises the following steps: a. Cleaning the electric or communication manhole; including the evacuation of water standing in the manhole, also cleaning the parts thereof, b. Applying a spacing fibre made of a non-woven material formed by a mixture of cellulose fibres and synthetic fibres, a strap of high-density polyurethane foam and an expandable resin for waterproof sealing the electric or communication wiring ducts. c. Waterproof sealing the floor and the walls of the manhole by applying the hydrophobic coating. d. Protecting the walls and floor of the manhole with a coating against chemical attack of substances.
