The invention relates to a process and installation for collecting and storing the kinetic energy of terrestrial atmosphere molecules, where finally there takes place the conversion of the kinetic energy into electric energy. The claimed process consists in collecting the kinetic energy of the terrestrial atmosphere air molecules so that the air molecules move in a single direction, after which the force developed by the air molecules is used for driving a centrifugal compressor working as a turbine, in which 30% of the kinetic energy is converted into mechanical work, said mechanical work being used by an electric generator for producing the electrical energy, from which 10% is consumed by a fan for creating and maintaining a negative pressure of 660 mm of mercury in a turbine. The claimed installation comprises a convergent-divergent nozzle () mounted in connection with a centrifugal compressor () which produces a mechanical work used for driving an electric generator (), a part of the energy driving a fan () mounted in communication with a tube () where a negative pressure is obtained inside the centrifugal compressor ().
|
