<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing cage which exhibits high durability during operation without using a stake as a retention, and enables a rolling element to be inserted into a pocket from an outer diameter side. <P>SOLUTION: The rolling bearing cage 2 includes an annular part 4 extending by a predetermined length in an axial direction S, and a plurality of pockets 6 arranged at predetermined intervals along a peripheral direction in the annular part. The rolling bearing cage freely rotatably holds a plurality of rolling elements 8 inserted into each pocket at predetermined intervals so as not to be in contact with each other. The pocket is formed as a through-hole having openings 6a and 6b on the outer and inner diameter sides of the annular part, respectively. In the outer peripheral part of the annular part, projected retentions 10 are disposed each of which is disposed on one axial-direction side of each pocket in accordance with a pocket forming position. The retention projects in a diameter-increasing direction while narrowing the opening on the outer diameter side of the pocket, and is elastically deformed in the axial direction, thereby enabling the rolling element to be inserted into the pocket, and the retentions interfere with the rolling elements after inserted into the pockets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
