PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a neurotrophin receptor binding inhibitor for inhibiting the binding of a neurotrophin to a receptor thereof.

SOLUTION: There is provided the neurotrophin receptor binding inhibitor containing an extract of Swertia japonica as an active ingredient. Preferably, there is provided the neurotrophin receptor binding inhibitor for inhibiting the binding of β-NGF to p75NTR. Also preferably provided is the neurotrophin receptor binding inhibitor for inhibiting the binding of BDNF to TrkB.
