<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a commercial power supply capable of connecting a terminal of a composite cable formed by integrating a power source cord and an optical cable, to an opposite by simple plug inserting operation. <P>SOLUTION: The connector for the commercial power supply used in the electrical and optical composite connection structure includes: a receptacle for the commercial power supply having a recessed electrode and an optical transmission line; a plug for the commercial power supply having a projecting electrode, an optical fiber and a ferrule for supporting the optical fiber; and an optical connector having a ferrule hole. When the plug for the commercial power supply is inserted into the receptacle for the commercial power supply, the projecting electrode is connected to the recessed electrode, and the optical transmission line is connected to the optical fiber in the ferrule hole. A current-carrying part of the recessed electrode facing the optical fiber on the same axis is arranged outside the optical connector on the same axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
