摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid-crystal display device with reduced power consumption achieved through more efficient utilization of external light. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid-crystal display device 1A includes a liquid crystal panel 20 located on the front face of the device main body, a lighting window located on the back face of the device main body, reflector plates 12 located between the liquid-crystal panel 20 and the lighting window, and a light irradiator 30 located between the liquid crystal panel 20 and the reflection plates 12. The light irradiator 30 has a plurality of LEDs 31 arranged in arrays thereon, and the light emitted thereby illuminates the liquid-crystal panel 20 from behind. Each of the reflector plates 12 is reflective on one main surface thereof and is rotatably attached to the device main body.
