<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique that is robust with respect to local moving subjects, variations in illuminance, and the like, and capable of carrying out a highly accurate global motion search process. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing device comprises: an image division section that divides into a plurality of divided images an image which undergoes processing; a divided image selection section that selects, from within the plurality of divided images, a divided image for which the reliability of the motion search process is equal to or greater than a threshold value or for which the reliability is relatively high; a first motion search process section that carries out a motion search process on each divided image; and a second motion search process section that, on the basis of information relating to the motion search process by the first motion search process section for the selected divided image, carries out a motion search process on the entire image which does not undergo image division. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
