Disclosed in an embodiment of the present invention are a response information transmission method, receiving method, user equipment (UE) and base station, suitable for the situation when the base station allocates a plurality of downlink member carriers for the UE. The method in the embodiment of the present invention comprises: the UE generates response information corresponding to the data carried in a downlink member carrier received by the UE; the UE searches in a response information mapping table for a data symbol group and a response information channel group corresponding to the response information corresponding to the data carried in the downlink member carrier, different response information channel groups in the response information mapping table comprising different response information channels; the UE maps each data symbol in the data symbol group respectively into at least one response information channel; and the UE transmits the data symbols in the data symbol group to the base station on the mapped response information channel.
