<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module which has no deterioration in optical coupling efficiency and is formed by attaching a sleeve for connecting an optical connector to a cylindrical section that has an optical window and projects from a housing while using a ceramic frame of a module body incorporating a photoelectric conversion element. <P>SOLUTION: A optical module 1 is formed by attaching a sleeve 3 that guides a ferule of the optical connector to a cylindrical section 9a that projects from the housing while using a ceramic rectangular frame 6 of a module body 2 incorporating the photoelectric conversion element. An optical window 9b formed in the root of the cylindrical section 9a is arranged at a position offset from the center, and a part of the cylindrical section 9a opposite to the offset direction of the optical window 9b has a thicker wall than the part of the offset direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
