<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that: prevents two recording media from being fed continuously even if a conveying length of the recording medium, set to be actually fed in a conveyance direction is larger than a half of a length of the recording medium based on which the recording medium is properly fed in the conveyance direction; and reduces its cost and size. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an image forming unit for forming an image on the sheet-shaped recording medium P1; a conveyor 20 for conveying the recording medium P1 to the image forming unit; a feeder 16 for feeding the recording medium P1 to the conveyor 20; and a controller for controlling driving of the conveyor 20 and the feeder 16. The controller controls so that the feeder 16 starts driving to feed the recording medium P1 and the driving of the feeder 16 is stopped before the feeder 16 has completed conveyance of the recording medium for a distance equal to a length Lmin of the settable minimum-sized recording medium in the conveyance direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
