PURPOSE: A directory service providing system and a directory service providing method are provided to obtain desirable directory information by directly connection another terminal through a PS communication network with a terminal device. CONSTITUTION: When a first terminal device(100) requests directory information from a second terminal device(200), a service user DB server(300) judges based on service subscriber information whether or not the second terminal is a service subscriber's terminal. The service user DB server permits the directory information provision request to the second terminal device. When the directory information provision request is received from the fist terminal device, the second terminal device provides the first terminal with the requested directory information. |
