发明名称 STRIP FILM MAGAZINE FOR USE WITH A STRIP FILM PROJECTOR
摘要 1,262,499. Cine-projectons; magazines. KALART CO. Inc. June 16, 1969 [June 17, 1968], No.30303/69. Heading G2E. A magazine for use in a film-strip projector comprises supply and take-up chambers containing spools 154, 158 (not shown), each having integral gears 156, 160 engageable by drive gears of the projector for forward or reverse drive. The projector comprises a lens carrier 12 which is slidable for the removal and insertion of a film magazine 16 attachable to the main body portion 10 containing drive means for rotating intermittently a film drive sprocket and for selectively rotating the reels contained in the magazine. The drive from motor 22 is transmitted by a belt 44 to a worm 42 in engagement with a gear 50 freely mounted on shaft 52 but arranged to intermittently drive shaft 52 and hence film advance sprockets 68 through gears 58 and 64, by means of pawls 62, 62<SP>1</SP> periodically moved by solenoid shaft 63 into engagement with a ratchet wheel 54 attached to gear 50, the pawls being spaced at 90 degree intervals around gear 58 mounted fixedly on shaft 52. The ratio of gears 58 and 64 is such that a 90 degree rotation of gear 50 results in a 180 degree rotation of sprockets 68 and a one-frame advance of the film. After a 90 degree rotation of gear 50 a restoring cam 65 releases pawl 62 from its engaged position. Operation of the projection is controlled by a rotatable plate 104 co-operating with a spring 114, the ends of which 110, 112 are positionable in one of two notches 98 on a cam plate attached to sprocket shaft 66, and with a pivoting frame 170 which selectively couples the drive to the take-up spool during the "Run" mode and to the supply spool during the "Rewind" mode. In the "frame" position of plate 104, both ends of spring 114 are pushed into a notch 98 thereby locking cam plate 96 and gear 64 in fixed positions and allowing manual adjustment of the frame position. In the "run" position only one end of spring 114 is forced into notch 98 allowing proper location of the frames in the gate and frame 170 is located to drive the take-up spool. In the "Free" position both ends of spring 114 are freed from notch 98 thus freezing the film feed sprocket. In the "rewind" position an arm 182 on the frame 170 is displaced to the right against spring 194 thereby rotating frame 170 to engage gear 184 mounted on the frame with gear 156 attached to the take-up spool. Gear 184 is driven by gear 168 on shaft 52 by a pair of frictionally coacting gears 188-190. At the end of the rewind when a conventional counter reads zero-zero the drive motor is automatically switched off by means of a switch arm 88 of a switch 90 co-operating with notches (78 and 80) in cams (74 and 76) Fig. 11 (not shown). Switch 90 is by-passed by a switch (200) Fig. 14 (not shown) in the other operating modes. Following rewind knob 100 on plate 104 may be turned to the "release" position thereby moving lens carrier 12 forward and allowing the magazine to be removed. The positioning of frame 170 may be accomplished by means of a solenoid rather than through mechanical action and automatic rewind means may be added as well as automatic means for sliding lens carrier 12 to its open position.
