A device comprises a bed 10 whereon internal combustion 2 and Stirling 3 engines are installed with pistons 12, 13, 23 accomodated in cylinders 5, 17, 22 and connected to crankshafts 16 and 21 by means of rods 20, 24. An outlet header 6 for withdrawing discharge gases is connected to a a chamber 4 wherein the Stirling engine hot cylinder 5 is placed.
