A method for the early diagnosis of hypoxic-ischemic brain lesion in the premature infants provides for assaying serum cerebral neurotrophic factor comparing its level on Days 3-5 and 26-28 of postnatal life. The level of serum cerebral neurotrophic factor in the premature infants without hypoxic-ischemic brain lesion, namely 8.35±2.74 ng/mL is used as a reference factor for diagnosis. |
