Embroidery shuttle with a shuttle casing having an outlet opening for a yarn and a cover designed to hold a yarn spool in the casing, has a shoulder on the inside of the shuttle casing in the region of the outlet opening and lying closely against the inner side of the cover when this is closed. The shoulder is prepd. by depositing a predetermined quantity of a hardenable resin on the inside of the shuttle casing while the cover is open, then deforming the material by closing the cover and finally hardening the resin.
