PURPOSE: A power supply apparatus for an LED lamp is provided to prevent standby power consumption by stopping LED module driving power in an idle mode. CONSTITUTION: An LED module(170) includes a plurality of arrayed light emitting diodes. A control unit(150) controls driving of the LED module depending on an inputted control condition. A first power supply unit(110) generates control unit driving power from a commercial AC source. A second power supply unit(130) generates LED driving power from the commercial AC source. A main switch(120) is arranged on a power supply line to the second power supply unit and supplies power from the commercial AC source. A sub-switch(175) supplies power from the second power supply unit to the LED module on the power supply line between the LED module and the second power supply unit.
