ISOXAZOLE DERIVATIVES FOR USE AS FUNGICIDES

Disclosed herein are isoxazole compounds of formula (I), wherein R1 is H or acyl, processes for their preparation, compositions comprising said compounds and uses thereof. Said compounds have useful fungicidal activity and as such are useful as compositions for the control of microbial pests, particularly fungal pests on plants. Examples of particularly preferred compounds include: [3-(4-chloro-2-fluorophenyl)-5-(2,4-difluorophenyl)isoxazol-4-yl]pyridin-3-yl-methanol; (S)-[3-(4-chloro-2-fluorophenyl)-5-(2,4-difIuorophenvl)isoxazol-4-yl]pyridin-3-yl-methanol.
