<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent aggravation of fuel consumption and emission performance in a hybrid vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A controller 3 outputs, when required driving force is equal to or lower than a predetermined switching value, only driving force of a motor to wheels (driving wheels 14) by stopping an engine 11 and running the motor (electric motor 16), and outputs at least engine driving force by running at least the engine when the required driving force is higher than the switching value. When the required driving force is higher than the switching value and catalyst activation is necessary, the controller runs the motor by increasing its output higher than a predefined upper limit output, and runs the engine in an activation promotion mode capable of promoting activation of the catalyst until the catalyst is activated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
