<p>The present invention relates to a software upgrading system and method, a server and a client. The method includes the following steps: a client reporting an upgrading request and initiating an authentication request; the client obtaining a first verification content from an upgrading server according to the authentication request, and the upgrading server comparing and verifying the first verification content sent from the client with a second verification content stored in the upgrading server, and returning verification success information to the client after the verification is passed; the upgrading server generating configuration information according to the upgrading request, and digitally signing the configuration information and issuing the digitally signed configuration information to the client; and the client performing signature verification on the configuration information, and downloading an upgrading data packet from the upgrading server after the configuration information has passed the verification. The software upgrading system and method, and the server and client significantly improve the security of software upgrading by way of bidirectional identity verification.</p> |
