<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column holder capable of firmly supporting a column. <P>SOLUTION: A column holder 3 for installing a column 1 having one side to which a gate door is attached and another side to which a panel 2 is attached on an installation surface comprises: a U-shaped front wall part 34 having a rear opening; and a U-shaped rear wall part 35 having a front opening. The front wall part 34 and the rear wall part 35 stand on a base part 31 fixed to the installation surface, such that the openings are opposed to each other with a clearance K between the tips. The lower end part 13 of the column 1 is inserted between the front wall part 34 and the rear wall part 35. The front face of the front wall part 34 is provided with a cutout part 36 extending in horizontal direction, through which the lower end part 23 of the panel 2 can be attached to the lower end part 13 of the column 1 inserted between the front wall part 34 and the rear wall part 35.
