<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire, having an excellent on-ice friction force and suppressing the over-time deterioration, and a pneumatic tire using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a tire is prepared by blending, to 100 pts.mass of a dienic rubber containing ≥10 pts.mass and <90 pts.mass of a natural rubber and having an average glass transition temperature of ≤-50°C, (A) 5 to 80 pts.mass of a silica, (B) 10 to 50 pts.mass of an oil, and (C) 0.05 to 30 mass% to the oil of one of (c-1) a resin acid and an alkaline earth metal compound, or (c-2) a metal salt composed of a resin acid and an alkaline earth metal compound.
