<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine control method and engine control device that provide a novel way of enjoying a vehicle by variously expressing exhaust sounds of an engine. <P>SOLUTION: The engine control method where an electronic control device 2 controls an operation state of an engine 4, and the engine control device 1 are provided.
