<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component capable of satisfying both of reduction in power loss and high saturation magnetic flux density in an environment with a high frequency and a low magnetic field, at a service temperature or an ambient temperature in a refrigeration environment (-50 to about 0°C), and to provide a ferrite composition suitable for the electronic component. <P>SOLUTION: The ferrite composition has a principal component comprising 62.8-65.1 mol% (expressed in terms of Fe<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>) of iron oxide, 7.8-11.5 mol% (expressed in terms of ZnO) of zinc oxide and the balance manganese oxide, and contains, relative to 100 wt.% of the principal component, 60-250 ppm (expressed in terms of SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>) of silicon oxide and 360-1,000 ppm (expressed in terms of CaO) of calcium oxide as subsidiary components. In 100 wt.% of the principal component, the content of Pb is ≤10 ppm and the content of Cd is ≤10 ppm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
