<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collecting device capable of preventing electrostatic charge while rationally collecting dust generated during processing operation. <P>SOLUTION: The dust collecting device 120 is removably attached to a work tool 101 and can be carried along with the work tool 101, and collects dust generated when a predetermined operation is performed on a workpiece by driving a tool bit 119 attached to the work tool 101. The dust collecting device 120 includes a dust suction area 131 for sucking the dust generated during processing operation, in response to operation of the tool bit 119; a dust transfer area 137 for transferring the dust sucked in the dust suction area 131; and a dust storage area 141, communicating with the dust transfer area 137 to store the dust.
