<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, when an optimal exposure amount is set to a narrow line or a character, a narrow line or a character having a background is crushed. <P>SOLUTION: A narrow line or a character having a background is thickened in advance by image processing.
