PURPOSE: A high performance FM target signal detecting method using a rearrangement and a sum of a Doppler correlation result, and a target detector thereof are provided to rearrange correlation results between FM transmitting signals and a receiving signal, thereby calculating the sum of correlation of the correlation results. CONSTITUTION: A correlation filter receives an FM signal reflected from a plurality of targets. The correlation filter delays and rearranges FM Doppler correlation values. A comparator detects target detection information and location information by using a correlation signal obtained through the correlation filter. The correlation filter includes a FM Doppler correlator and a module. The module delays correlation values of the FM Doppler correlator. The module calculates a correlation degree for a sum of the correlation values of the FM Doppler correlator.
