<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio system capable of promptly shifting to the start of emergency broadcast on the occurrence of necessity for emergency broadcast such as a national instantaneous alarm system in a radio system such as disaster prevention radio. <P>SOLUTION: The radio system includes a base station, a plurality of sub-stations for receiving broadcast from the base station, and an external device, connected to the base station, for transmitting an alarm signal to initiate the emergency broadcast at disaster. The base station includes sub-station discrimination means for discriminating whether sub-stations of general broadcast targets entirely coincide with sub-stations of emergency broadcast targets. On receipt of the alarm signal from the external device during broadcasting general broadcast, the radio system shifts to the emergency broadcast if the sub-station discrimination means discriminates that the sub-stations of general broadcast targets coincide with the sub-stations of emergency broadcast targets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
