<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce foods satisfying the demands of increasing population in the world. <P>SOLUTION: The improvement of a plant growing mechanism having a vertical directional hierarchy, air conditioning and lighting is provided by arranging supporting poles (1) having a 5.5 m height from a floor in the longitudinal direction, placing crosspieces (2) extending by 0.20 m each to both sides at their upper part, and joining them with the rails of two lines in parallel. Also, at the first and last supporting poles of joined one group, gears (5a), (5b) are installed by the chain of a transmitting device for closing the circuit of the rails. There are hooks for hanging seven bags (8) as one group thereon, and joined perpendicularly by two belts. In these bags, lower layer soil containing seeds or seedlings is housed. At the gear part (5b) in the innermost part of the circuit, a motor is joined to perform sowing and harvesting at this end.
