<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of preventing partial abrasion in a shoulder area by improving turning performance on an ice-snow road. <P>SOLUTION: This pneumatic tire includes a round shoulder profile of continuously connecting a surface of a tread 1 and a surface of each sidewall 2 by a curved surface. A plurality of main grooves 11 extending in the tire circumferential direction are arranged in a grounding area in a standard grounding state of the tread 1, a plurality of shoulder grooves 15a, 15b and 15c extending in the tire circumferential direction along the respective shoulder areas are arranged outside the grounding area in the standard grounding state of the tread 1, the groove area ratio of an inside specific area regulated between the main groove positioned at the outermost side in the tire width direction and the grounding end in the standard grounding state is set to 20% or smaller, and the groove area ratio of an outside specific area regulated between a pair of shoulder grooves 15a and 15b adjacent in the respective shoulder areas is set to 20% or larger and larger than the groove area ratio of the inside specific area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
