DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM FOR BREAKAGE OF WIRE ROPE STRAND OF ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnosis system for breakage of a wire rope strand of an elevator which can easily recognize whether damage of a wire rope is slight or serious.

SOLUTION: The diagnosis system for breakage of a wire rope strand of an elevator includes a strand breakage detection part 6 for detecting a strand breakage of the wire rope 2 made by twisting a plurality of steel wires, and a display part 9 for displaying a diagnosis result of the strand breakage of the wire rope 2 according to data detected by the strand breakage detection part 6. On the basis of a level calculated using correlation between strand breakage output detected by the strand breakage detection part 6 per certain zone and a number exceeding a threshold value of the output, the state of breakage of the strand of the wire rope 2 are divided into levels, and the display part 9 displays the levels in association with an elapsed time from measurement start. The display part 9 also displays a measured waveform in association with a part where the strand breakage occurs and the elapsed time from the measurement start.
