Known ratchet mechanisms serve to grip straps and cables by means of which, for example, goods are secured in position for the purpose of transportation. The ratchet mechanism according to the invention is also to be able to brace chains. For this purpose, the shaft mounted in the ratchet mechanism and a chain wheel seated thereon are enclosed by a guide part which exhibits through-passage slots for a chain strand. For the introduction of the chain strand, a guide piece is arranged in front of the guide part. |
