<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station device and sleep control method for reducing power consumption in a base station configuring a radio access system. <P>SOLUTION: A base station device for communicating with a terminal station while transiting between an awake state and a sleep state comprises control means for: transiting from the awake state to the sleep state without notifying the terminal station of a radio access inhibition period; transiting to the awake state after completion of the sleep state and performing carrier sense; transiting again to the sleep state when a radio channel is not busy; and receiving a packet transmitted by the terminal station while keeping the awake state, when the radio channel is busy. The control means has awake state time which is set to be short so that the carrier sense can determine whether or not the radio channel is busy, and sleep state time which is set so that a retransmission packet from the terminal station can be received in the awake state after the radio channel becomes busy by the carrier sense. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
