<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting fault current limiter in which the impedance of a current limiting coil can be normally lowered furthermore by enhancing the magnetic shielding effect of a superconducting magnetic shielding body furthermore. <P>SOLUTION: A superconducting magnetic shielding body 12 arranged in parallel to a current limiting coil 11 is electrically connected with the current limiting coil to have the same potential. The need for ensuring an insulation distance between the current limiting coil 11 and the superconducting magnetic shielding body 12 is eliminated, and an extremely small gap d is set therebetween. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
