PURPOSE: A composition containing heme oxygenase-1 for regulating fibrosis in abdominal cavity is provided to enhance anti-EMT reaction and to suppress the fibrosis. CONSTITUTION: A composition for regulating fibrosis in abdominal cavity contains heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) protein as an active ingredient. The daily dose of the active ingredient(HO-1) is 0.0001-100 mg/kg(body weight). A vector contains a polynucleotide which expresses HO-1 protein. A pharmaceutical composition is manufactured in an injection formulation containing HO-1. The injection formulation is an isotonic aqueous solution or a suspension.
