PURPOSE: A groove forming device of a paper material for manufacturing boxes and a box manufacturing method using the same are provided to prevent a joint part from being separated or a paper material from becoming crumpled when the paper material is folded to form a three-dimensional shape, by forming a V-shaped groove on the paper material using the groove forming device. CONSTITUTION: A groove forming device of a paper material for manufacturing boxes comprises a base frame(100), a roller(120), a transfer belt(130), and a cutting assembly. The roller is installed on the base frame and is rotated by a driving source. The transfer belt is connected to the roller and moves a paper material while rotating. The cutting assembly is installed on the base frame and forms a V-shaped groove on the paper material. The cutting assembly comprises a pair of cutting blades facing each other.
