A method and an apparatus for emulation in a wireless data communication network are provided to implement virtual stations through software so as to be driven within an emulator or in another computers connected through a wired network, and perform the plural virtual stations even within one computer, thereby generating an event in an access point with intent of an administrator and reducing subsidies of test environment. Plural virtual stations(710) are implemented to perform communication with an access point(102). A physical layer processor(702) receives a frame from the access point, transmits the received frame to an LMAC(Lower Media Access Control) layer processor(704), and transmits a frame transmitted from the LMAC layer to the access point. The LMAC layer processor checks a receiver address of the frame received from the physical layer processor, and checks whether or not the receiver address is corresponded to a receiver address of the station. An interfacing unit(708) provides interfacing between the LMAC layer processor and the virtual stations. |
