PURPOSE: Aramid tire cord having good stiffness and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to improve shape stability and high speed traveling stability of a tire with good tire cutting property. CONSTITUTION: The aramid tire cord includes aramid piled yarn consisting of aramid multifilament and an adhesive. The stiffness of the tire cord is 80~120gf / 10 minute. The content of the adhesive in the tire cord is 5~12 weight%. The total fineness of the aramid tire cord is 800~10,000 denier. The aramid is poly(para - phenyleneterephtalamide). The strength of the aramid multifilament is 10~25g/d. The elongation at break of the aramid multifilament is 2~6%. |
