<p>PURPOSE: A chain manufacturing apparatus is provided to simultaneously make seamless rings and connect the rings, thereby reducing personnel and installation costs. CONSTITUTION: A chain manufacturing apparatus comprises a material feeding unit, a ring processing unit, and a ring connecting unit. The material feed unit is moved at one side of a lower die by the elevation of an upper die(102) and transfers a band-shaped material(12) by a specific distance. The ring processing unit processes a raw material with punches according to the down motion of the upper die to form a ring with a hole and presses the center of the ring so that the ring is moved downward and both ends of the ring are bent upward. The ring connecting unit is closed according to the up motion of the upper die to extend the hole outward and closes both ends of an adjacent ring inserted into the extended hole, thereby connecting the rings.</p> |
