PURPOSE: A dispersant is provided to effectively disperse various kinds of carbon, pigment, etc. which are comprised in fuel oil, ink, paint, coating agent, etc by simultaneously having a hydrocarbon group, a carboxylic acid group, and an amide/ester structure in a molecular structure. CONSTITUTION: A dispersant comprises an amide and ester copolymer of poly(styrene-alkyl acrylate-maleic anhydride) indicated in chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R1 is hydrogen or a methyl group, R2 is a C1-C30 alkyl group, R3 is a C1-C30 alkyl group, l is 0.1-0.89, m is 0.1-0.89, n is 0.01-0.04, and o is 1-5. The weight average molecular weight of the dispersant is 2,000-20,000 g/mol and the degree of a molecular weight distribution is 1.0-5.0.
