The board structure of an ice hockey rink according to the invention has a board and a protective border and a rink side and a spectator stand side, which board consists of board elements attached together. The board elements each comprise a frame, which has vertical support posts (109) and support pipes (105, 103, 107). There are support posts only in the front part of the board, i.e. in the rink side part, whereby the board structure has one level. The upper part of the board element has a U channel (201). The protective border consists of transparent protective panels (101), which are attached to the U channel, whereby their lower part is inside the board element. The bottom of the U channel is on the upper surface of the support post or in a shape made in the upper surface of the support post. The board structure has a rink side edge rail (104) and a spectator stand side edge rail (102), which edge rails flank the protective panel in the U channel, and the rink side edge rail is rounded. Because the protective panels are supported by the U channel and the edge rails, the protective panels do not need fixed support posts. |
