PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various types of wire harnesses, or to provide a terminal insertion device which enables the quality check of terminal attachment and accurate and prompt supply of a housing.

SOLUTION: A terminal insertion device 1 holds a terminal T, inserts the terminal T into a cavity of a housing H, and includes means 140 for checking that the housing H is in a predetermined position. The means 140 has a dead space 137 formed at a member 135 with which the housing H contacts in a predetermined position, a suction mechanism 160 suctioning air in the dead space, and a pressure sensor 162 detecting the pressure of a pipe 161 communicating with the dead space 137. The means 140 determines whether or not the housing H is in the predetermined position according to the pressure detected by the sensor.
