PURPOSE: A vehicle detection device of a left lane is provided to detect a vehicle on a left lane and to control traffic signals. CONSTITUTION: A vehicle detection unit(12) is installed along both lines of a left lane. The vehicle detection unit includes a pair of light emitting sensors(12a) and a light receiving sensor(12b). A case has a light emitting sensor and a light receiving sensor. The case has an upper part and a lower part. The lower part is buried in a road. A signal control unit detects a vehicle.
