<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus which prevents a hypersaturation phenomenon or hyposaturation phenomenon generated by uniform luminance restriction or luminance ratio adjustment. <P>SOLUTION: The display apparatus includes: a first image conversion unit 100 that converts a plurality of first image data forming an image frame into a plurality of second image data each including a luminance value; a luminance analysis unit 200 that performs summation to obtain a total number of second image data corresponding to each luminance value, and associates a plurality of luminance value groups each including at least one luminance value with the respective total numbers, obtained by the summation, of the second data within the luminance value groups; and a luminance adjustment unit 300 that adjusts the respective luminance values of the second image data on the basis of the total numbers of the second image data corresponding to the respective luminance value groups. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
