<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing device capable of recommending an electronic file appropriate to an individual. <P>SOLUTION: When receiving a recommendation request for an electronic book from an individual, a data processing device detects at least one individual whose personal information is similar to the individual from which the recommendation request has been received and provides an electronic book of the individual detected with the similar personal information to the individual whose recommendation request has been received.
