A sensor network system (1000), which comprises a plurality of sensor nodes (1100,...), determines a parent node for each of the plurality of sensor nodes in such a manner that forms a network topology having a tree structure using, as nodes thereof, the respective ones of the plurality of sensor nodes. Further, the sensor network system forms the network topology in such a manner that causes, for each of the plurality of sensor nodes, the number of child nodes of that sensor node to be close to a value obtained by multiplying a maximum accommodation number, which is the maximum number of pieces of sensor data that can be accommodated by a single packet, by a natural number (1200).
